Being a Lycean entails being LEAN during and after you step
out the school to explore the big world. With this being said, it isn’t only to
prepare us for what’s waiting for us; but to also enhance our personality and
wellbeing. How about you, are you LEAN enough to serve your fellowmen?
First and foremost-what does the acronym LEAN means? L is
for leading and serving and E for Empowered. A is being Analytical and N is to
be Nationalistic but with a global mindset. I could lead and guide my family,
friends, and classmates to what is needed to be done-to make a productive
act. I could serve them with my intellect
and skills and help them with my utmost limit. I can empower others by my
advices and knowledge sharing whether from education or fact oriented or
through experiences. It is possible to encourage also that may boost one’s
self-esteem and confidence for themselves.
Having an analytical mindset is a must because it is part of being street smart and part of living in the complicated world. I can assess any situation and take decisions with precision without being doubtful whether it’s right or wrong. It’s a gift to acquire to avoid regrets and to move on forward. Thinking for the benefit of my country while thinking of global relations is achievable. I want to achieve something as a Filipino but with a cause of the world’s benefit. Whether it is sharing information to other race of our own culture or something like doing a film that will give joy to everyone and pointing the excellence towards the Philippines.
